As a Tri-Cities photographer, I’ve spent years photographing couples against the gorgeous backdrop of Washington’s scenic beauty. I’ve done so many couple sessions at the lavender field, and I always knew I wanted my own engagement photos done here when the time came. This June, it was finally MY turn to step in front of the lens!
Tri-Cities Lavender Fields
I’m kind of known for taking photos at gorgeous places in the Tri-Cities, and even all over the Pacific Northwest. It has proven to be a difficult task to consistently find locations around the Tri-Cities that aren’t just sand and tumbleweeds lol. When I found this gem of a location surrounded by greenery and lavender fields, I was in AWE that something like this existed in our area. It’s a beautiful, peaceful oasis that makes you feel like you are anywhere but eastern Washington.
Bringing Dream Engagement Photos to Life
Now, I had a very specific vision for these photos. Most of the time, I’d prefer to hire a photographer for photos and allow them to guide and direct the entire session. But in this case, I knew exactly what I wanted. I sought out friends and family to be behind the camera while I composed and directed the entire session lol. While I posed and directed me and Alec through different photos, he was really good at saying little things to me to get me to laugh. I’m so lucky and thankful to have found someone who enjoys taking pictures as much as I do. He’s always willing to put up with my shenanigans to bring my dream engagement photos to life. :’)
Okay, the moment of truth. Here are our lavender field engagement photos. Don’t ask me to pick a favorite – I could never! But if you have one, I’d love to know which one in the comments below. 🙂
