Ava’s senior session was one for the books. It was one of those sessions that reminded how FUN it is to be a Tri-Cities senior photographer and how much I love my job. :,) Shot in the heart of mid-summer, we explored two dreamy Tri-Cities spots: the Columbia River and a local flower farm. With stylish outfits (I’m drooling over her House of CB dress!), moody skies, and the perfect golden sunset, this session had it all.

The Senior Session of My Dreams

When Ava showed up with her perfectly styled outfits, including that stunning House of CB dress, I knew this session was going to be something special. From the first few shots at a local nature area, I knew this whole session was going to be gorgeous. She absolutely nailed it.

Mid-Summer Magic

We kicked things off at a local nature area to kick off her session. This spot is full of golden grass and greenery – the perfect combo. Later, we headed to a wildflower farm, and right in the middle of shooting, some clouds rolled in. Most people would think, “Uh-oh, dark skies,” but honestly? That soft, diffused light turned out to be perfect for this location. It made the colors pop and gave the whole scene an almost ethereal glow. Then we drove to our last location at the Columbia River, just as the sun started to dip and give us that dreamy golden hour light. The way it bounced off the water and wrapped around Ava created some truly magical moments.

Why Experience Matters

Lighting changes fast, and knowing how to roll with it is key. As a senior photographer in Tri-Cities, I’ve seen it all and love using every kind of light to my advantage. These shifts actually gave us a gorgeous mix of moods in Ava’s gallery—bright and fun, soft and romantic, and everything in between.
